Stick & Stay Prevention, Inc. (SSPI) operates a Consumer Run Organization in the community and is justice friendly. SSPI provide housing assistance in the Durham area. SSPI assists individuals with outreach, ,advocating, resources , and referrals, that assist participants with mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities, being involved with the justice system with information needed to become successful members in the community. SSPI owner is a Community Health Worker, Certified Peer Support Specialist, Community Liaison. I am here to help individuals from all populations with resources and referrals in the Durham communities to get the help they need with livelihood, residence, family, health, criminal justice and social connections etc.Stick and Stay Prevention conducts a peer support aftercare circle on Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 to 7pm in a homelike environment . We all have similar situation and share our experiences, stories, problems, mistakes. conditions, illnesses and personal circumstances and can talk in a safe place and not be judged. The circle is no therapy, but therapeutic. The circle makes a significant impact among the people still struggling to rebuild their lives and achieve their goals after being justice involved,. homeless , dealings with mental or substance occurrences. Participants , offer support and encouragement while problem solving together. Participants also learn about resources in the community that can help them toward reaching their full potentials becoming productive members of society and we do it one day at a time.Stick & Stay Prevention, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.
