Led the Product Development team – Acquisitions, Editorial, Production and Design – to create a market leading quality-driven product portfolio that grew the business from $4M in annual revenues to exceed $20M in less than 3 years.• Led the vision and strategy for the annual publishing plan as it related to acquisitions, editorial, production and art functions of the business.• Created quality-driven processes designed to maximize productivity and guaranteed excellence with on-time delivery. • Grew from publishing 25 new titles per year ($4M in annual revenue) to effectively publishing over 100 new titles per year (over $20M in annual revenue).• Built models that allowed for flexibility of talent in development process. This was accomplished by building a vast network of outside consultants that included authors, editors, indexers, proofreaders, cover and page designers, and desktop publishers.• Continually monitored competition and developed differentiating product solutions. • Initiated and led the implementation of a “cross-functional teams-based” approach to product development that included company-wide representation.
