Provide administrative support functions and office management in support of 30+ interdisciplinary researchers and 20+ support staff that conducts fundamental and applied materials research for basic energy sciences programs and a variety of energy technologies, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, transportation, conservation, fossil energy, fusion energy, nuclear power, and space exploration. Activities include managing information flow and communications with external and internal contacts, preparing a variety of written materials, establishing, and managing records systems, assistance with preparation, submissions of publications, correspondence, contracts, track, coordinate, and follow actions/responses. Establish priorities and resolve conflicts in scheduling appointments and meetings. Coordinate travel and agendas, interact with service and support organizations to facilitate various activities. Participate in planning conferences, workshops, and information meetings, receive, sort, route mail, answer telephone and respond appropriately: relay messages, answer inquiries, offer assistance, refer callers; initiate calls to obtain, verify, and exchange information.
