Sandra Milligan is an experienced researcher, teacher, company director, publisher and business operator working in the area of education. She is currently Executive Director and Enterprise Professor at Melbourne Metrics, at the University of Melbourne. Her research focusses on assessment, measurement, recognition and certification of learning in digital learning environments. Sandra has worked at senior executive level  in large multi-national businesses, and in government, education and and not-for profit sectors. She has started-up and taken to market three of her own companies.  She has served as director or committee member for a wide range of organisations, including large and small, for profit and not-for-profit, Australian and multi-national, commercial and government. Together with Dean Ashenden she founded the Australian Good Universities Guides before selling them to the UK-based publishing business. Her current interests are in application of online, digital and network technologies to publishing and education; reforms to assessment and recognition of learning; organisational governance and management, and barging on French canals.
