In this role I used quantitative proteomics to investigate chronic fibrosis associated with lung, liver and skeletal muscle disorders. I have extensive experience in label-free and TMT-based quantification strategies, and expertise with a range of high resolution mass spectrometers.

My Ph.D. research focused on the proteomic profiling of animal models of disease; in particular the mdx-4cv mouse model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. My work led to new insights into proteomic alterations in the skeletal muscle, cardiac tissue, liver and serum of mouse models of neuromuscular disease. This research led to led to nine first author original research papers, six co-authored review papers and five book chapters.
