I am an experienced teacher, writer, and researcher. I received an MA in Art History from the University of Georgia, then entered the PhD program, writing my dissertation on a world’s fair held in New Orleans in 1884. I have worked at the St. Louis Art Museum, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Georgia Museum of Art, and the Gilcrease Museum of American History and Art. I remain broadly interested in the arts of the Americas. I have also taught survey level art history classes at the University of Georgia and upper-level art history classes at Georgia State University, including a course on the Art of the United States during the Gilded Age and another on the Visual Artists of the Harlem Renaissance.
