• As a receptionist I took messages for personnel, answered phones.• I made, rescheduled, and canceled appointments for patients. I also made reminder calls for appointments. Helped maintain appointments binders.• I also filed and pulled records, interview new intakes, and assisted as an interpreter when necessary.

• As a Practicum student I had an opportunity to work close in the field. This is a facility that is still hybrid; I filed records in Alphabetical order. • At the end of the day I also pulled records for the following day. • I also had an opportunity to shadow the registrar and patient coordinator; using AllScripts I had the opportunity to see how the sign patients in and out, schedule appointments, verify insurances, schedule surgery for patients, and print visit reports using MedFlow. • I also shadowed the Biller and Collections manager; and had the opportunity to see how she followed up on claims.
