Prior to becoming a Mum, I worked in freight forwarding for 6 years as Assistant Accountant with Lep International and Arcon NZ. After redundancy due to receivership, I was able to create from word of mouth, my own business, setting up and operating office and accounting systems for a number of clients including Columbus Coffee, Smit Millar & Associates, MediaScene and various trade based clients until purchasing Fraser's Place in 1996From Fraser's Place I went back to various Accounting roles prior to establishing Profit Sense Ltd in 2009

Between projects, I established Roa Carvings Ltd for a talented whanau carver. I set up a website, established markets and built a sales channel for his products.Although he still carves, due to life circumstances the business no longer operates to the same extent.

I partnered with a chef to buy a Parnell institution, Fraser's Place - delicatessen and catering. By providing exemplary customer service, introducing systems and processes (including building a website) a computerised catering quoting system, along with top quality food, we built a business that was at capacity in the Parnell premise.At the time of looking for additional space, we were approached to sell. 11 years was a good time to look for something new.
