As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) for more than 10 years specializing in gentle and chair yoga, my ongoing commitment is to help older adults increase their sense of well-being by experiencing the benefits of yoga through stress reduction, building strength and flexibility.I am also certified to teach yoga for arthritis and work as an instructor for the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program.   While an instructor at New York City’s Integral Yoga Institute (IYI) in New York City, I taught hatha, gentle and chair yoga. I taught at New York’s Hospital for Joint Diseases (HJD), the Women’s Disabilities Institute at HJD, and Gilda’s Clubs in New York and Brooklyn. I am also a certified instructor of Yoga for Arthritis.After moving to Westchester in 2006, I became the Gentle Yoga instructor for the now closed Yoga Journey, a prominent White Plains, NY yoga studio. Currently and for the past several years, I have been employed part-time by the ElderServe affiliate of the Hebrew Home, Riverdale, New York, teaching gentle yoga in their senior communities. I also teach at various assisted living and continuing care communities in Westchester County. In addition, I continue to work with private clients taking great pleasure in increasing their well-being while sharing the benefits of yoga with them.
