In 2020-21, OAC invested $78.6 million in 206 communities across Ontario through 2,176 grants to individual artists and 1,312 grants to organizations. As Vice-President, Engagement I had responsibility for the development and implementation of the overall communications and human resource strategies for the Foundation. I focused on effective approaches to engage OTF staff, volunteers and external stakeholders. This included the delivery of two major professional development conferences for staff and volunteers. I also oversaw the development and implementation of corporate policies related to communications, HR and corporate governance, salary framework and benchmark reviews, and a workforce planning initiative. I was accountable for the Human Resources, Volunteer Relations, Communications and Public Affairs teams.

I led OTF corporate communications with employees, appointed volunteers, grant recipients, community stakeholders, media and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. I provided advice and counsel to the senior team and Board, led numerous stakeholder and media events, and supported initiatives to ensure Foundation compliance with government regulatory requirements. The Ontario Trillium Foundation is an agency of the Government of Ontario.
