From there, I worked at Metro Newspapers, JDS Group Public Relations, a graphics firm in Palo Alto, and then began my own business, Dixon Design, in 1998 where I've been doing freelance graphics for a variety of clients locally as well as nationally and internationally—from Hawaii to Canada to D.C., Austraila and London. Most recently, I worked at Silicon Valley Community Newspapers for the two years doing editorial layout and production for approximately 8 different local newpapers.Specialties: Graphics: Page layout and design; Web — front end design and useability; Adobe Design Suite including Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop, and QuarkXpress, JazBox.Jewelry Design: Unique jewelry using only real and semiprecious gemstones and beads including crystal (natural, Chinese, Swarovski Austrian, etc.,) Czech glass, pearls, turquoise, and everything from Ametrine to Zoisite.
