I am responsible for SOCHE's regional internship program that serves students and employers in Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus. I work with a team of professionals to develop and implement the program, which includes recruiting students, matching them with employers, and providing support throughout the internship experience.

Taught all 300 middle school students (6th, 7th, and 8th grade) in 5 classes daily as only middle school art teacher in district. Balanced and maintained Art Department budget. Oversaw purchasing of art supplies for middle school staff for classroom projects.Consulted with teachers prior to school year to determine art supply needs. Conducted research on lesson plans to identify areas for improvement. Set up middle school art curriculum; ensured projects align with state standards. Taught visual arts, incorporating numerous styles and mediums such as drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography, and 3-D art. Designed lesson plans for each day and project. Differentiated lessons plans to coincide with IEPs. Implemented activities to expand student creativity. Instructed students on improving work efficiency to facilitate completion of projects. Provided visual examples for all lessons, as well as handouts and practice times. Segmented lessons into sections to facilitate student success; modeled each part while teaching lessons. Made accommodations for special needs students.* Created school’s art program from ground up, which included identifying program funding sources. Provided administrative and operational support for practice, which included medical records and patient chart filing, medical records scanning, scheduling (patient appointments, surgery, lab work, CT scans, and ultrasounds), and patient check-in process. Set up surgery appointments daily for all 4 physicians and coordinated appointments between physician’s office and 3 hospitals. Trained and mentored new hires on office policies and procedures. Prepared for patient charts for appointments, which included inclusion of test and lab results. Communicated with patients via phone; answered questions and provided customer service.* Triaged and resolved escalated patient issues, ensuring protection of practice brand.
