Team Energy is an enthusiastic student team that aims to inform, inspire and connect students and citizens as a means to accelerate the energy transition. My role in the board included resolving conflict within the team, ensuring team motivation and ensuring that skills and capabilities were developed and leveraged for the benefit of the team.

The Energy Challenge was a competition in which students could sign up with their idea about how to reduce waste and/or contribute to a more circular economy. I, along with three other committee members, arranged this competition. My role included: organization and planning, handling correspondence and finding participants to join the challenge. During this experience, I learned about the tensions that the Municipality of Eindhoven (and all municipalities) face when planning for a sustainable future.

The Fossil-free Energy District (FED) Project is up and running! The next step will be replication to new contexts. My role was to investigate the opportunities and hindrances for replication of the FED project, specifically when it is implemented within the Netherlands. The complexity of the FED system provides an interesting challenge for replication. The findings show that it is possible to replicate this project but only as a niche project within the Netherlands.
