LESLIE'S WEEK received 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 GuideStar Platinum Level of Transparency Award.The Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine selected LESLIE'S WEEK as their 2017 "Community Breast Cancer Nonprofit of the Year". L'Oreal Paris selected Sandra Gunn in 2016 from 6,200 nominations to be one of their 10 Women of Worth, WOW's. In 2015 Sandra Gunn was selected as an honoree of the "one hundred". This award is created and supported by the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and is the highest form of recognition awarded by them. Each year they honor "100 Everyday Amazing Individuals and Groups whose commitment to fight against cancer inspires us all to take action." In 2014 the Gaeton and JoAnn DeCesaris Cancer Institute honored Sandra Gunn with the "Fire and Soul" Award for, "The courage to look beyond oneself to bring joy to others". OUR BEGINNINGS:A collaboration began in 2011 with a WOMAN'S CANCER CENTER in hosting a 1-week vacation for 1 Stage 4 Breast Cancer women and her family. This is a time for the family to spend together so they may create Memories that Outlast Cancer. This is important for the children who are the "Watchers". In 2014 we became a 501 (c)(3) Nonprofit. In 2016 we grew to 18 Stage 4 MBC families. In 2017 we hosted a family at the Ranch at Laguna Beach, 2 families in Ocean City, and 20 families at the Dollywood DreamMore Resort. In 2018 we hosted 31 families at the DreamMore Resort in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains, in 2019 we selected 30 Honorees for our vacation away from cancer at the DreamMore Resort, 3 died two weeks before their vacation, 3 become too ill to attend. We hosted 24 2019 Honorees and 7 2018 Alums who attended at their own expense. WOW! We have 25 Alums returning in 2020 at their own expense and LESLIE'S WEEK hopes to have 35 honorees selected. Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee

The Village, developed by InnerImages, Inc., was the first mountain development to receive unanimous approval of the newly formed County Planning Commission. We received environmental approvals from the State regulatory agencies using transfer technology from the Oak Ridge National Laboratories. This 20-acre cluster development is located in a pristine forest with magnificent mountain views. InnerImages, Inc. completed the land development and underground utilities and pioneered an environmentally sound potable water and sewer disposal system. InnerImages offers design/build to our lot owners and have constructed the homes that presently exist in this beautiful mountain community.

"Peek-A-Boo, I See You! Parenting From Your Child's Point of View" won the Silver Medal Award in the Parenting category in the "Reader's Favorite" Book Competition. Awards delivered at the Miami International Book Fair, the largest book fair in the United States. Peek-A-Boo won the IPPY award in the Parenting category in their 14th annual book award competition. IPPY is the oldest and world's largest book awards contest with more than 4,000 entries from all over the world.As the Founder of LESLIE'S WEEK, she writes in 2019 an award-winning book, "TERMINAL, Nonfiction Words that Read Like Fiction", with 43 LESLIE'S WEEK Honorees and takes you on a journey into the Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer world that leaves you breathless and at times in tears. This book won the bronze medal in the Living Now IPPY book competition and the Illustration Award in the Reader's Favorite Book Competition. "TERMINAL...far from the shallow..." published in June 2021 was written with 30 LESLIE'S WEEK Honoporees, husbands, and family members. It is a riveting journey into the Metastatic Breast Cancer World.

Charles Moore, FAIA and InnerImages collaborated on the design and development of a table that had 11 layers enameled in high gloss colors, each layer a different color. Each layer had a scene from his personal miniature collection that depicted a story. Each figure was glued in place and the table was illuminated from within. A glass top protected the miniatures. The prototype table sold for $15,000 at the Los Angeles International Furnishings Show while it was on display at the Stendig showroom. The copyright for the table is assigned to InnerImages.

InnerImages, was selected to be the director of an International Architectural Design Competition for a 35 acre destination resort. We selected the Jury, wrote the program, designed all of the advertising, print material, and media advertising. We received and cataloged submission boards and programs from the 680 entries, which entered from more than 23 countries. We managed the judging process for the distinguished judges; Mr. Charles Moore, FAIA, Mr. Moshe Sofdie, FAIA, Mr. M. Paul Friedberg, FASLA, Mr. Bill Lacy, FAIA. InnerImages taped the judging for the 2 stages and I wrote a book on the entire competition process, a first of its kind. The book was distributed to all of the competitors, Jury, and Schools of architecture throughout the country.

Milan Area, Italy

Mr. Piero Busnelli, the owner of B&B Italia, and InnerImages worked together in developing the coordination and fabrication of furnishing designs and fabrication for a project in the U.S. that had specific requirements that only his company could meet. We worked together for 9 months in Milan, where the factories were located, and in Genoa, Portofino, and Lake Como.

Council Of The Great City Schools, Washington, D.C.

Sandra was hired to help develop new curriculum ideas for public inner city school systems. We organized member conferences for the 21 major city school systems in the U.S. I helped develop programs that emphasized a multi media approach in teaching children who were entering the age of electronic media. Our focus was to keep children in school and the emphasis was on making education relevant in their lives.

Innovative programs were developed in my high school classroom in order to make the subjects I taught relevant to my students. My work received the attention of the US Department of Education and they awarded me a $25,000 mini-grant to develop an interdisciplinary program in the humanities that taught the overlapping disciplines of English Literature, Art History, Music, Theater, Multi Media Production, and Composition. The course was open to students from grades 10 through 12. The philosophy was that if students were treated with the expectations of their performing at AP Levels (advanced placement) they would meet those expectations. Surprising to many they did! The one year grant was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and reinforced the idea that children meet your expectations. This experience resulted in the book, "Reflections", which detailed the interactions with my students. The grant distributed "Reflections" to all of the high schools across the country.
