I pride myself on being a lifelong learner. Every experience I’ve had, personal or professional, has taught me something. I’m an avid traveler – I love to visit new places, meet new people and make connections – and I’ve seen over 50 countries and set foot on all 7 continents. Each stop was eye-opening in its own right, showing me the beauty of different cultures and walks of life. As a business operation professional and events planner, I’ve been lucky to take part in some pretty special events, and each one has been an exercise in collaboration and constantly learning from others. And just like my traveling adventures, my event planning experiences have led to some valuable connections.As the National Conference Director, Membership Engagement for The College Board and the Project Manager – Hacking STEM for Microsoft, I’ve been in the driver’s seat for dozens of massive events, from tradeshows to educational conferences. As the Project Manager – Microsoft One Commercial Partner for Lions+Tigers, I’ve been helping the team operate better by planning activities that bring us all closer to together. No matter what type of event I was planning, however, my desire to foster an atmosphere of collaboration toward a common goal was my greatest strength. Because event planning can be stressful, it’s also wonderful to the finished product after months of preparation alongside other experts in your field – and that’s why I love event planning so much.Using my natural talent for making connections and being incredibly organized has been very fulfilling and is a true joy.
