I graduated from Cal State Monterey bay with a BA in Humanities and Communication studies in May of 2020 .After undergrad I’ve been working in social services in various Non profits one of the non profits that I worked for was Friends outside in Santa Cruz county I worked as case manager and I facilitated cognitive therapy groups for women and men who were incarcerated or in custody. Currently Im working as a case manager for Monarch Services a non profit in santa Cruz county that supports and advocates for Domestic violence , sexual assault and human trafficking survivors .Originally my goal after I gradauted was to work in digital marketing in the fashion Industry I wanted to work in social media I applied to internships and entry level positions I had no success in landing either and eventually I had to come to terms and put a pause on that career goal of mine and find a job where I had qualifying experience and mainly i needed income. About a year ago I decided to reopen that path and this time not giving up I was very fortunate to land two internships one in a digital talent agency called A-listme as an influencer marketing intern and the other at a startup called Himylink as a social media marketing intern as an intern at Himylink I created original content for their instagram page I specifically created reels for there instagram account. After my experience with these two internships my interest for digital marketing grew even more. I wanted to learn in further depth about digital marketing since this field is a broad field. I wanted to explore this field. That's when I came across COOPS and I decided to apply for the program and currently I'm in the Digital marketing apprenticeship at COOPS. I hope to eventually find an entry level position in digital marketing in media planning.
