Lead strategic marketing communications and branding initiatives for corporate, healthcare, nonprofit and government clients. Manage teams and annual budgets ranging from $300,000 to $2.5 million.Branding/Marketing:• Developed branding and strategic direction for new initiatives at USC’s Keck Medical Center including launching the USC Eye Institute in Beverly Hills, developing of “Nurses of USC” for retention and recruitment, and creation of L.A. Prostate Cancer 5K for Division of Urology. Public/Digital/Media Relations:• Developed and implemented traditional and social media for California Department of Public Health’s Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Branch. Through nine-year behavior change program, averaged 30 million annual impressions focusing on multi-cultural communities with messaging, media, content development and promotional strategies. • Created strategy and managed traditional and social media efforts for OneLegacy’s Tournament of Roses parade float including multi-channel, multi-cultural, national and international media outreach, resulting in more than 100 million annual broadcast, print and social media views. Placements secured with CBS Morning News, USA Today, Los Angeles Times and many additional national and local news outlets. Community Relations:• Designed and oversaw multi-year, statewide competitive grant program to recruit community benefit organizations for Energy Upgrade California initiative. Managed $2.5 million budget and staff for behavior change/education program resulting in reaching two million people. • Developed and managed community outreach for L.A. Care Health Plan to educate and encourage multi-cultural communities and healthcare providers about Cal MediConnect. Initiative resulted in a 40 percent increase. Crisis Communications/Issues Management:• Revised crisis communications program for UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center and worked with organization to mitigate potential crisis issues.
