Localized assignment in London with the NHS IT project. Designed and programmed using CCL reporting tools for statutory and management reporting for all clients. Provided data quality analysis and mitigation expertise.

I designed, documented, and implemented ground-based and inflight hardware, software products, and experimental protocols in support of medical and nutrition microgravity studies, and I provided training to trainers and Astronauts. I designed and programmed the first inflight data log system using handheld barcode readers. I co-developed and tested in microgravity conditions the first hematology analyzer for use in space. I also provided Clinical Laboratory medical and research support of Shuttle and Mir missions. I wrote the RFP and conducted proposal evaluation for our Laboratory Information System, and then supervised and assisted in the installation. I was responsible for all aspects of the operation of this system. I supervised and implemented the conversion of over 4000 historical laboratory records (essentially the history of space travel) to the new system from INGRES. I used SQL extensively to extract records for research purposes, often from two or more databases, and performed basic statistics and created presentation materials based on these data. I acted as a consultant to a working group studying the implementation of a large-scale Clinical Management Information System for JSC, using my expertise in the areas of JSC security policies, mainframe and instrument interfaces, and database structure and management.
