Sandra has attended Brevard County Commissioner meetings for the past 5+ year - advocating for Brevard residents on numerous issues with results. Sandra is best known locally for digging up military debris in her back yard and researching a former used Defense site in South Patrick Shores. Her tenacity and hard work led to the USACE FUDS designation with the help of Congressman Posey, In addition, his help resulting in speeding up the $5.8 million funding for testing. In addition, in response to PAFB/PSFB being 3rd highest PFAS contamination of bases in the nation, Sandra has been working with State legislators on regulating a PFAS drinking water standard and clean up of contaminates in the lagoon - since PAFB was draining its fire fight activities to the lagoon since 1968. Sandra has also advocated for rescinding Florida Statute 487.051(2) which preempts cities and counties from enacting any regulations restricting the use of pesticides including herbicide. Herbicides are considered by many to be a strong factor killing the sea grass of the lagoon. We have lost 98% of the sea grass biomass of the lagoon. Previously Sandra was President and cofounder of JCorporate, a software development and service company in Fort Lauderdale FL. 20 years business consultant and software design development business experience. Sandra has played a significant role as systems analyst and project manager, ensuring successful onsite implementations for accounting implementations, EIS systems for multi-national company, intranet operations systems.. Additionally she has extensive experience in community building with her work with jcorporate's open source projects resulting in a 34,000+ size community. Prior to web development, Sandra was involved in large systems implementation of Regis Accounting solutions, a product series which was she was instrumental in design.
