In my role as Regional Technology Manager I was responsible for working on a wide range of projects including Windows Server Migrations, Exchange Server Migrations, Firewall Upgrades and Migrations, Phone system migrations, configuring RPC over HTTP and Push Mail in Exchange 2003 based on Microsoft’s most recommended practice in Dec 2007.I also migrated the asset inventory from Microsoft Access 2000 to Filemaker Pro in Jan 2008.I led a team of IT coordinators located in various offices to provide support for 80 users worldwide as well as developing disaster recovery plans, amending IT policies in the organization and completing documentation on all systems in the local office.I monitored the networks constantly, reporting the results to the management and updating the status of the technology development to the board of directors in the board papers quarterly.I was accountable for sourcing, purchasing and budgeting for IT i.e. software, hardware, licenses, etc. I also managed the outsourcing companies in various offices including the service agreements negotiations and occasional meetings.I frequently travelled to regional offices e.g. Sydney, Hong Kong and Perth branch offices to conduct license audit and system checks on the networks.I acted as the main source of IT solutions for the company - analyzing, evaluating, recommending and proposing solutions that improve the efficiency of IT in order to facilitate business continuity.
