Responsible for the product development and infrastructure of the Service Ocean platform.

A core element of this role was to develop comprehensive solution architectures across multiple systems and platforms. Domains such as content management, marketing automation, e-commerce, self services in after sales, CRM and identity management flow together here. In particular, the data flows into the internal systems and the integration of these in a future solution are examined and designed.Relevant tasks here include:- Preparing, conducting and evaluating interviews with the specialist department and customers.- Creating as-is documentation (architecture, processes and data)- Identifying relevant focus points- Creating roadmaps for an investment recommendation

Establish the role of CISO in the company. Develop a company-wide ISMS. Developing security standards in the projects and auditing them in everyday project work. Contact person for customers before and during projects regarding information security. Successful completion of the ISACA CISM exam.

This function included the following tasks and responsibilities:- Managing more than 200 employees in the technology area in three countries and six locations - Responsibility for employee skills and competences and their further development - Management and coordination of the entire technology portfolio with the help of a specially developed technology radar - Responsible for personnel planning and decisions on new hires or dismissals - Identifying and evaluating technology trends - Budget responsibility for salaries, training and further education - Ensuring and enforcing standards within the projects Within the present period, co-responsible for the establishment of a technology nearshore location in Serbia.

In 2006, I was elected as a Namics partner and from then on I was heavily involved in the strategic direction of the company. In 2012, we bought Namics from the then parent company in an MBO (management buy-out) and from then on were completely independent shareholders. With the declared growth strategy as part of the owner strategy, the sale of the company was also introduced as an option from 2016. In 2018, a new potential buyer came forward in the form of Merkle, to whom we also sold the shares at the end of the year. During the due diligence phase, I was responsible for the technical part, among other things.

During this period I realised many technical projects based on Java/J2EE and Spring. As a technical architect I had the following main tasks in projects: - Responsibility for effort estimation and quality assurance in technical implementation - Concept and development lead - Contact person for all technical questions - Moderation of technical workshops - On-boarding of new employees in the project - Handover to operations - and much more, depending on the needs in the project.

As part of a five-person expatriate team, I was tasked with setting up Namics Deutschland GmbH in Frankfurt and Hamburg. Central tasks during this time included - setting up the technical infrastructure on site - acquiring new customers and preparing offers for both locations - recruiting new employees at the respective locations - building up know-how and establishing a software development process - generating sales with won projects... :-)

In 1998 I started as a developer at the former Delta Consulting AG. At that time we started to build dynamic websites with ASP (Active Server Pages). Among other things, we also designed, built and sold our own CMS with it (until about 2002). At the same time, I was already working on Java 1.0 and Java 1.1 and servlets (later JSP). First attempts with the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) and the Nokia mobile phone were also among the highlights of that time.

Meine erste Stelle nach dem Studium. Die VRSG war damals der IT-Dienstleister für diverse Gemeinden und Kantone in der Schweiz. Ich bin da im Team Fakturierung und Debitoren gestartet. Das war die Zeit der Ablösung von zentralen IBM 3270 Terminal Applikationen nach Client-Server Architektur. Technologisch war die Zielplattform ADABAS C und Natural der Firma Software AG. Im Team war ich stellvertretender Teamleiter von einem Team mit sechs Entwickler.

Begleitend zum Studium habe ich in einer kleinen Firma namens Muttenzer Applikations Systeme angefangen zu arbeiten. Die Firma hatte ein Produkt namens VPI (Verkaufs-Planungs-Instrument) und war auf den Aussendienst-Mitarbeiter ausgerichtet, der seine Aktivitäten bei Kunden oder potentiellen Kunden dokumentieren wollte (in kleiner Form das, was heute CRM genannt wird). An dieser Software habe ich mitentwickelt (basierend auf Visual Basic und Assembler). Weiter war ich in dieser Zeit auch Teil eines Teams, welches für den damaligen SBV (Schweizerischer Bankverein) bei Bankübernahmen die Datenmigration gemacht hat.
