The move to this role was to support the business with an extensive transformation program to a new IT platform across most business areas, my role was to support from a Finance/Credit Control viewpoint. This included user acceptance testing, aligning existing processes to fit the new system capabilities and training. Since the roll out was completed I have moved to an End To End Business Improvement role looking in particular at areas that impact on both Finance and Customer Experience whilst providing support and training across all Sales and Support functions.

This period of my career at Canon included managing various Credit Control Teams, improving processes by working closely with other departments whilst managing risk and debt levels in line with policy. I initiated Collaboration Workshops with related support functions that were run regularly for all existing employees and new starters. In 2019 I was instrumental in the transition to a new system platform that involved user acceptance testing, training, roll out and process changes, this included restructuring the Dept to align with the capabilities and functionality of the new system.Following the roll out of the system I then supported the move to an Outsourced structure whilst also managing the relocation of the retained organisation. Whilst challenging this gave me the opportunity to work with our outsourced agency in Chennai which included a 3 week visit to support the transition.

During this period I managed the previous Oce Credit Control Team based in Brentwood following the local integration of Oce into Canon in 2013. The aim was to integrate the Team with the existing Canon UK Credit Control Dept which involved implementing new procedures and sharing best practice between both areas. Responsibility to align the business whilst achieving debt targets set at a European level.
