Sandy is a licensed landscape architect and land development consultant, specializing in community design, and has a passion for creatively merging manmade and natural environments. Her project experience with both private sector clients as well as public agencies covers all aspects of land development planning from conceptualization of a master planned community to final design approval and construction.Prior to forming Dilworth Planning Studio, Sandy was Vice President at Merrick & Co. and the national leader for private land development design services. She also led her own Charlotte-based planning firm for 25 years before selling the firm in 2011 to Merrick, growing her company from an initial sole proprietorship to a 30-person, planning and site engineering services firm.Sandy’s hands-on creative abilities, coupled with her extensive expertise in integrating the art of planning with the science of engineering, has earned her a strong reputation in Carolina’s regional development community.
