St Louis is the land of booze, blues and shoes. I live south of the Gateway Arch, downwind of Anheuser-Busch brewery where in the summer, the smell of hops can drive you to write tall tales.I write both fiction and non-fiction. I've written about hula hoops, gorilla runs, chinchillas, all natural face paints, innovative schools, by assignment or ideas I pitched. I use my name, pen names (some say aliases), and co-write. I'm editor for W&PN, Writers and Publishers Network, formerly known as SPAWN (small publishers, artists, writers network). I'm the editor of two mystery anthologies. Topics include dogs, cats and all kinds of pets, going green and living healthy, exercise, bees at the airport and even the history of Perry Mason. I talk a lot about my dog Ozzie, the Westie-ish pup who is obsessed with his favorite stuffie, The Bunny. I wrote for Natural Awakenings under my own name or my green nom de plume of Avery Mack, in Animal Wellness - and I ghost wrote for The Cat Site. When print was still in, I wrote/edited The Leash, a newsletter for therapy pet teams. As staff writer and editor for Kings River Life online magazine, I get to write reviews for mystery/suspense books and whatever else I can get away with.Specialties: Pets, mysteries, going green - and the curiosity of the day.
