  • Reported to the EPC Project Manager. I managed 190 site staff and was responsible for site compliance with Safety Regulations and Environmental approvals. I established the QA system to ensure specification compliance.
  • Project reporting, budgets, co-ordination and management of the Balance of Plant (BoP) subcontractor, management of the Logistics and Erection subcontractors, and liaison with landowners, Shire and external stakeholders.
  • Management of subcontractors for the upgrade and maintenance of external roads for over-sized component transport.
  • Implemented acceleration from an initial 5-month delay situation to commissioning and power production 3 months early, by use of a second erection crane and improved sequencing of works.

  • For Port Hedland project, led engineers and supervisors for civil works on a live operational area of BHP Billiton’s export terminal at Port Hedland, Western Australia.
