There are 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 153 countries. My work will focus on supporting member organizations in the Western Hemisphere Region as they strive to build sustainable capacity.

Directed diverse team (29 members) based in three countries: managed budget $3.6 million. • Corporate liaison with World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) to strengthen GSUSA/WAGGGS alliance (10 million girls & adults in 145 countries) & provide support for international forums and global opportunities.• Supervised creation and implementation of the 2010 World Youth Forum. 600 girls and adults from 80 countries and USA. • Chaired senior leadership delegation to 2011 WAGGGS World Conference.• Managed relationship with GSUSA’s International Commissioner and GSUSA’s National Board WAGGGS Task Group.Documented success: • Developing and maintaining: Strategic collaborations with host nation Girl Guides, US embassies, corporations and US military to provide support to American expat families living overseas. • Strategic alliances with US government agencies, including military, & corporations to secure funding for innovative programs. •Integrating international dimension of Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting to ensure global perspective integrated in GSUSA’s priorities.• Strengthening alliances with host nation organizations working directly with Girl Guide and Girl Scout World Bureau CEO & staff.• Providing support to World Foundation for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and Friends of Girl Guiding’s five World Centers.• Pioneering leadership to Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Marshall Islands, and Republic of Palau to develop three independent national Girl Scout organizations; provide status reports to World Bureau regarding membership in WAGGGS for these three nations.
