Managed the startup of the Foundation including hiring staff, implementing accounting and database systems, establishing organizational policies and procedures, and board member development; Organized and produced the first annual Oklahoma Garden Festival, including the recruitment of exhibitors and vendors, developing fundraising and marketing plans, and establishing relationships with non-profit, corporate and funding entities and enlisting their support of $438,000 in funds; Established and implemented volunteer recruitment plan, resulting in 500 volunteers serving on 28 committees; Directed and promoted 2 festivals attracting an average annual attendance of 12,000.

Served as Director for 5 years of the Spring Festival of the Arts, a 6-day community arts event involving 144 visual artists, 21 food vendors, 3,000 performers, 56 volunteer committees and 5,000 volunteers; Managed a $2 million budget and 13-member staff, coordinating all event logistics, capital improvement projects and obtaining corporate sponsorships; Developed, funded and implemented arts education programs serving youth, senior citizens and persons with special needs including a dance program for deaf and hearing impaired youth; Served as Cultural Services Director and directed a 250-member volunteer force – the Arts Commandos; Coordinated and directed Opening Night activities, a community-wide New Year’s Eve responsible for fundraising, event logistics and supervision of 500 volunteers serving on 25 committees.
