More than two-decade years of experience encompassing the full circle in Automotive Industry, from Sales & Marketing, Product Strategy and Management, Vendor Development, Quality and Manufacturing operations.Currently working as the Vice President – Bus Business at Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Ltd., based out of corporate office at Gurgaon, (Haryana, India) leading the overall P&L growth of the bus business. In the last 3~4 years in sales function, market share has jumped from 18% to 27%. And post covid with market opening, the volume sales and profitability has grown in multiples (volume - 1.5x and profitability - 2.5x). Earlier, worked as Head – Product Strategy and Planning for nearly a decade, coordinated with various functions, both front end (sales & marketing, dealers etc.) and back end (R&D, Purchasing, Manufacturing etc.) and introduced various new products, emission norm implementation from BS II to BS VI etc. Previously with Tata Motors, Lucknow plant, joined as GET and worked in Vendor Development / Purchasing functions, Quality and Manufacturing operation where I became the certified Green Belt in Six Sigma, and my project was awarded as the Benchmark Project of the Year 2002 – 03. Very good in academic record, passed full time MBA – Marketing (CGPA 3.5/4.0) from SP Jain and B.Tech. (awarded B.Tech. with Honours, CGPA 8.6/10.0) from India’s premier institute – Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi (IIT – BHU).
