Leads media operations activities for headquarters largest and busiest PA office, supporting 60 units and 12,000 people. Advises Public Relations Chief and base leadership on news media issues; ensures timeliness, and content and propriety of releasable information. Establishes and maintains working relationships with media, facilitates visits, queries, and prepares subject matter experts for all interviews. Prepares and releases news for internal and civilian media. Receives queries for news media, obtains information, coordinates answers, and provides responses to news media. Receives visiting news media, makes arrangements for interviews, provides briefings, and escorts media representatives. Coordinates and leads news conferences. Monitors and compiles media clips. Creates press materials.- Arranged on-site CNN coverage of Nevada Test and Training Range land dispute; promoted Air Force messages. Commander’s messages on Department of Defense issues aired internationally. - Coordinated visits for New York Times, Washington Post, Disney Studios, and Marvel; provided context to combat operations and the Air Force’s strategic impact on multi-domain ops. - Engineered 124 media visits to Nellis Air Force Base; highlighted Airmen’s stories to a top-50 U.S. media market.- Led and mentored an award-winning staff; resulting in eight higher headquarters media contest winners, two annual team awards and five quarterly awards.
