Since it's conception in 1967 the unit has provided high-quality multimedia support to top-tier customers throughout the Department of Defense to further our nation's strategic communication objectives.
Today, the 2d Audiovisual Squadron is the largest video production center in the Air Force providing compelling content for use by customers such as the Secretary of the Air Force, Chief of Staff of the Air Force, and many other top military leaders.
2 AVS also proudly maintains and operates the service's only mobile satellite and production trucks used to generate live broadcasts of DoD events for viewers around the globe.
