 Review of Quality Control procedures / Method Statement of various disciplines and comment / recommend for development, if required, to comply the requirements of Codes and or specification.  Ensure that all Quality Control activities on shop / site are fully implemented and maintained throughout all stages of contract execution in accordance with Project Specifications and Code requirements.  Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)  Advise the sub-contractor for the proper selection of test coupons for the PQR & WQT, conduct/witness procedure qualification testing and welder's qualification testing.  Constant monitoring and control of shop & field welding activities for Structural, Piping and its material verification, pre-weld inspection, pre-heating, application of approved welding procedure, extent of welder's qualification, proper storage/handling of welding consumables, in-process welding surveillance, welders performance. Control non-conforming work activities through the implementation of the non-conformance control procedure. If occurs, initiate in raising NCR, discrepancy reports, site inspection reports, and site instruction reports on structural, pipe work fabrication and installation.  Responsible for the close-out of the field discrepancy& non-conformance reports (NCR).  Resolutions & Technical advices to the technical queries (TQ) rose by the sub-contractors.  Coordinates and schedules the quality inspection and testing with Construction Team.  Determine the need for inspection tools & equipment, establishes proper calibration parameters for these items.  Perform inspection, examination and test as required by quality procedures.  Review and Approval of Sub Contractor's Piping Test Packages.  Witness / Accept piping leak testing (hydro / pneumatic) as per project requirement.

 Perform inspection activities, non-destructive testing, repair, rerating, retirement thickness and corrosion rate calculations, remaining life calculations and of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, process columns, piping, tank and other plant equipment.  Carrying out Fitness For Service calculation as per API for various plant equipment.  Developing inspection plans/frequencies for process plant equipment inspection as per API. Internal and external inspection carried out on heat exchangers, pressure vessels, fired heaters, columns and tanks. Reviewing welder performance and welding procedure qualification records.  Preparing and issuing WPS for GTAW and SMAW process for various materials like Carbon steel, Low Alloy steels, Stainless steels, Inconel, Aluminum alloys. Preparing failure analysis reports for equipment breakdown based on metallographic studies, corrosion mechanism study, material identification and provide necessary recommendations.  Review & Approval of the Test Packages and procedures of subcontractors for testing.  Witness of Hydro test for Piping, static equipment and Leak test for pressure vessels as per Company specifications.
