Master Thesis:Optimization of Rigid Pipeline Installation with Inline Structures. The thesis focused on studying the theory and practical aspects behind pipeline installation and method to optimize inline structure installation using modular buoyancy modules.It also involved an extensive parameter study to understand the influence of various properties of the buoyancy modules - Size, shape, mode and position of attachment on the pipeline, to optimize the limiting sea state for installation.Modelling and analysis were performed using Orcaflex and Riflex and followed DNV standards.The thesis helped gain a thorough understanding of hydrodynamic forces acting on the pipeline and the systems response to the loading.
