➤ Designed a fully customized and scalable Egress Outbound Proxy to enhance the security of Jio's cloud environment communication with the internet and external API Gateway using eBPF with Suricata. @This Approach recognized India DevOps Show 2023 (Hosted by Newrelic).➤ I developed a one-touch automation template that can deploy the entire new product cloud infrastructure, including VPC, subnets, firewall, GKE cluster, load balancer, DNS record, SSL certificate, and Cloud Armor, in approximately under ~10 minutes.➤ Replaced commercial application monitoring tools such as AppDynamics and Datadog with open-source alternatives like OpenTelemetry and Signoz on the Jio Tech Platform. This transition resulted in a substantial 4x cost reduction in terms of metric data ingestion.➤ Developed Python automation to streamline daily cloud access management tasks for the DevOps team, simplifying the management of cloud Single Sign-On (SSO) synchronization for over ~500 engineers.➤ Migrated Jio Products' entire cloud environment, including data layers such as MongoDB, RDS MySQL/Postgres, Kafka, Zookeeper, Solr, and Redis, from AWS to GCP. This comprehensive migration also covered over ~200 microservice applications, achieving nearly zero downtime. Key tools utilized in the process included Redis-Riot, Kafka-mirror, AWS DMS, and AWS Site-to-Site VPN.➤ Written Ansible scripts to automate administrative activities for our self-managed data layer, which includes MongoDB, Kafka, Zookeeper, and Solr.➤ Created a centralized Helm3 template for the efficient management of Kubernetes-based microservice deployments.➤ Moved all individual microservice repos into one Unified Monorepo.➤ Created a centralized infrastructure metrics dashboard for overseeing metrics across multiple environments in one location using Prometheus and Thanos.➤ Participated in mission-critical production deployments and actively engaged in live troubleshooting alongside the SRE Team.
