Automation of Dripper Discharge Testing Machine• Automation of the discharge testing machine that helped reduce batch testing time, manhours, energy and maximize profits.• Test setup consisted of 25 drippers for which the water discharge measurement was done manually• The automated machine required approx. 10 minutes against the earlier manual machine which took 25 minutes (batch of 25 drippers)• The accuracy was improved due to automated calculation. There was no need of paper based records post implementation.• Automation was done using PLC (programmable logic controller) which uses Ladder logic to activate actuators and other circuitry• Load cell was used to calculate weight. From this weight of the water, the water content was calculated using density
