* In this role I delivered network architecture and consulting services primarily to the capital markets teams of the big six Canadian banks.* Designed a single cross border network across multiple co-locations to give access to global exchanges to trade across Equities, FX, Fixed Income and Commodities for a large Canadian bank. This helped them reduce cost, simplify and utilize the synergy of one network across all trading platforms.* Designed and implemented a low latency monitoring system using CorvilNet for two Canadian banks and a multinational brokerage agency, thereby giving them the visibility and the ability to drill down into troublesome areas within their infrastructure and allocate technology spend wisely.* Hired as a Project Lead for a 4 member team whose mandate was to audit the telecomm and datacomm landscape of large publicly listed American reinsurance company (across 8 countries) which was recently acquired. The end goal was to evaluate, plan and implement a smooth network merger without disrupting day-to-day operations.

This enabled them to become North Americas first wireless carrier to evolve from 3.5G (up to 7.2 Mbps) to HSPA+ (up to 21 Mbps)* Part of the core engineering team responsible for the testing, suport, & design of the IP Transport network for the Winter Olympics 2010. * Presented various knowledge transfer sessions to customer support techs on technologies being implemented within their network.* Provided 3rd level support to the customer in the implementation of their IP RAN.

Part of Capgemini’s enterprise consulting entity responsible for a network refresh at various distribution centres for Canada largest retailer (Loblaw’s Inc)* Led an Onshore and Offshore team to study and document the existing infrastructure and then build out a new network using a fully redundant collapsed backbone design.* Set up network analysis modules within the Cisco ISR series of routers to improve visibility into network performance to help manage and improve application delivery.* Built a live lab to mimic a distribution centre for performance and operational readiness testing.* Used Cisco IOS Tool Command Language (TCL) and embedded event manager to send emails on triggered events (i.e.:- HSRP state change).* Challenges involved working under strict cutover timelines to migrate a site over to the new infrastructure.* Help built configuration templates, Visio diagrams and a narrative around the former to handover to the customer.* Helped in the design of various content service switch engines to ensure availability, optimize utilization, and increase the scalability for server farms and application cache clusters.

As a Design Engineer within the Data and IP Services team, I had to leverage the Next Generation Network (NGN) to offer converged solutions to our business customers.* Involved in a multi million dollar contract involving migrating the Canadian Department of National Defenses legacy infrastructure to TELUS Communications IP MPLS Infrastructure.* Involved in designing MPLS, PLS (private line services) & SVS (switched voice services)for our customers.* Configuration of Traffic Classification, Queue Management, Traffic Shaping and Policing for Voice and Data services
