Handling Operation Procurement (CAPEX,OPEX,FF&E etc.,) for Somerset Greenways of 189 rooms in Chennai

MATERIALS MANAGEMENT: Streamlining the system and procedures for effective inventory control for ensuring ready availability of materials to meet the production targets. Advance planning of procurement functions, involving cost estimation, contract negotiations and finalization for purchase of all services and goods. Responsible for developing a dedicated and alternate vendor source for achieving cost effective purchases of all materials and reduction in delivery time. To check inventory levels of all items, find foreign and domestic suppliers and stay current on any changes in either the supply of or demand for needed products and materials.

SOURCING/PROCUREMENT: Responsible for handling sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors/suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability. Budgeting funds for procurement and sourcing of materials ensuring optimum utilization of materials & maximum cost savings. To get the highest quality goods and services at the lowest possible cost and to consider price, quality, availability and technical support when choosing suppliers. Forecasting the cost, and arriving at the availability of the materials that are required.

· In conjunction with the Provision Master, provides analysis of F&B stores consumption to handle the ordering of Food and Beverage as exact as possible.· Input in the computer all bar stock received.· Maintain the food inventory updated on a daily in cooperation with the Provision Master.· Carry out spot-checks on the hotel stores rotating stock-takes.· Carry out checks on storing operations on the pier.· Input in the computer all the requesitions.· Control and ensure that not one itme goes out from the stores without requesition.· Accounts for any stock transfer beteen onboard locations.· Inputs physical bar stock counts into the computer system and analyze results highlighting the discrepancies for additional counts or reviews.· Hold minimum each second day a spot check on phyiscal inventories held in the bars, food and beverage stores, galleys and cellars.· Monitors – controlls tips and bonuses to bar staff.· Performs any other duty as requested by his/her superiors.· Compiles a physical inventory routine for each food & beverage locations. Verifies level of inventory at least once a cruise or more are required, daily in the Crew Bar and any other bar with high variances.· Prepares a voyage report in the end of each cruise to be signed by the F&B Manager and send to the shore side office.· Day to day supervision and management of the reponsibilities detailed above.· Spreading random audits and reconciliation´s over the voyage and moving forward with new computer installations and controls procedures, whilst tackling systems and financial control problems, as these occur.
