Dr. Santosh Kumar is a distinguished Community Leader and Social Service pioneer, serving as the Founder and CEO of Metropolitan Asian Family Services (MAFS) and Universal Metro Asian Services (UMAS). With over three decades of dedicated service, she has significantly impacted the lives of thousands of Immigrants and Seniors in the Chicagoland area.Under Dr. Kumar's Visionary Leadership, MAFS has grown from a single-room office to a robust Organization with 12 centers across Illinois (Chicago, Niles, Naperville, Roselle, Vernon Hills, Elgin, Schaumberg, Carol Stream, Orland Park) providing a wide array of services including Nutrition Programs, Public Benefits Assistance, Adult Literacy, Senior Counseling, Mental Health, Health Research, and Immigration Assistance. Every year, MAFS touches the lives of over 10,000 individuals, empowering them to become productive members of society not only to survive but to thrive in United States.Dr. Kumar's contributions have been widely recognized with numerous awards and honors.
