I'm Santosh, a budding Data Analyst who loves unravelling the narrative and extracting insights from Messy datasets.As a Data Analyst, I leverage my data extraction, cleaning, transformation, modelling and visualization expertise to drive business insights. My skills include 12+ data technologies including Python, R, SQL, Excel, Tableau, QlikView, Power BI, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Access, Azure and statistical software like SAS, SPSS, Gretl.I have experience gathering requirements from stakeholders across various lines of business to implement analytics solutions from start to end, including developing ETL pipelines (extract, transform, load) and data modelling with proficiency in dimensional data modelling concepts. I have worked with relational and non-relational databases.My analysis approach draws from a strong academic foundation in quantitative methods, machine learning algorithms and statistical modelling techniques which I apply during exploratory data analysis (EDA) and reporting results to create actionable recommendations. Techniques I use range from hypothesis testing, classification models, linear regression, clustering, anomaly detection, credibility analysis, natural language processing and more. On the software development side, I have participated in agile Scrum teams utilizing Jira tools to transition ideas, mockups, prototypes and testing towards dashboard development, process, and database automation based on user feedback to deliver value iteratively.Increasingly, I have managed the end-to-end analytics life cycle - gathering requirements using interviews, workshops, company document analysis, process maps and use case methods, accessing datasets stored in distributed file systems for big data analytics needs leveraging tools like Apache Spark and working with SQL and NoSQL databases, designing a solution aligned to needs, engineering and implementing the analytics platform leveraging visualization and BI tools, socializing findings and finally doing evaluations to ensure adoption of recommendations into better decision making, improved business operations, new products, and enhanced customer experiences.I am passionate about staying on the cutting edge of the data science industry through continued self-learning.
