There are wounds that never show on the body but are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds. I am Sapphire Hunter. I feel the need for Mental Health Awareness, especially for Nigerians because Mental Health Care in Nigeria is currently undergoing a catastrophe. It is sad but true. I am an empath and I serve;As a Guidance Counselor I provide services and programs that promote personal, social, educational and vocational development. The service provided aligns with individual/organizational missions.As a Mental Health Advocate I support individuals with issues relating to their mental health care and treatment. My goals include: ✔️Supporting anyone who needs help.✔️Working with employers to ensure the mental wellness of their employees so as to promote maximum productivity and healthy work-culture.✔️Provision of voluntary services to mental health organizations.✔️Initiating and attending mental health awareness movement/programs ✔️Encouraging investors and the government at large to prioritize mental health.✔️Correcting those who use stigmatizing languages.As a TherapistI work with clients by providing them with necessary coping skills, to live better lives and make positive decisions to prevent relapse as well as achieving their maximum self. I think it is really important to take the stigma away from mental health… My brain and my mind are really important to me. I don’t know why I wouldn’t seek help to have those things be as healthy as my eyes.
