Working in four languages, built mutually beneficial relationships with over 100 governments, embassies, NGOs, and C-level executives from across Europe, Africa, Asia and America (ex. South Africa, Russia, Vodafone, UN – World Bank). The role involved the coordination of Mobile for Development and Ministerial Programme projects as well as travel to South Africa and Spain for two world class events. Assisted with travel, logistics and accommodation for all international delegations. Results included a record year for the Advocacy department and further development in international mobile policy.

Coordinated over 300 successful events over a fourth month period including board meetings, training events and exhibitions. Accounts included blue chip clients such as Gap Inc, the Football Association and Lloyds Bank. Managing a large internal staff team, I handled all events aspects including budgeting, contracts, logistics and branding.

The role involved coordinating aspects of the Featured Programmes element, tailoring the events to the client’s needs and delivering registration training and logistics. Supporting the Marketing Partnerships team, travelled to Barcelona to help deliver the GSMA Mobile World Congress with a record attendance of 83,000 people.

Managed and trained a team of registration clerks, hostesses and security over a 7-day event at the London Excel Centre. Duties involved liaising with high-level officials, accreditation and event logistics management.

Working in three languages, contributed to youth and community development through sports around the Greater Toronto Area. Duties involved budgeting, reporting, impact analysis, branding and logistics work. Participating in over 20 events over four month period, contributed to raising Games’ awareness by 16% in ten municipalities as well as playing a vital part in launching and developing the TO2015 Mascot Program (Pachi).

Key point of contact for all provincial Francophone Associations as well as local government officials, sponsors, athletes and the press. Part of core-team that delivered the Pan Am 2YC event and a member of the advisory committee to help launch the ‘Ignite’ programme. Working on external partnerships, recruited athletes and VIPs for Games’ promotion and travelled nationally to work with the Canadian National Paralympic Swim Team. Other duties involved media and sponsor relations, budgeting and bilingual marketing work.

Worked as a bilingual public relations intern, helping handle 7 accounts including Kruger, the Hudson’s Bay Company and Carlsberg. Duties involved helping plan communications strategies, media monitoring, content production and outreach to contacts across Canada.

Part of 8-person steering committee tasked with organizing and delivering the inaugural Live2Lead Leadership Conference at Ryerson University. As Head of Public Relations, I oversaw the communications strategy, created conference collateral and surpassed all promotional targets by reaching an audience of 29,000 over a 6-month period.
