For my MRC-DTP funded project, I am using a Participatory Action Research approach to design, deliver and evaluate a community health intervention with adolescent cricketers in Nepal, working with the Nepal Cricket Foundation.

Programme manager for Health Goals Liverpool, a collaboration with the Liverpool Football Club Foundation applying the principles of sport for health promotion to adolescent sexual and reproductive health in Merseyside.

Voluntary role at sport for development and health charity Cricket Without Boundaries. Development of monitoring and evaluation plans for projects in the UK and internationally that allow the charity to improve its delivery of social and health messages through cricket and evaluate the effects of that delivery. Work with diverse backgrounds, cultures and experiences, both within the UK and internationally, requiring strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well with shifting priorities and schedules of volunteer-led stakeholders.Duties:• Coordinate existing monitoring and evaluation process• Design, implement and review monitoring and evaluations processes for new projects• Evaluate existing monitoring and evaluation process and develop methods that work for the charity• Liaise with independent researchers undertaking evaluation research on behalf of the charityAchievements- Undertook data analysis and presentation for Cricket Without Boundaries project in Cameroon and Uganda, with final abstract submitted to and accepted into ICASA Conference 2017 (Cote d’Ivoire).- Undertaken extensive research into innovative evaluation methods for Cricket Without Boundaries, resulting in completely refreshed evaluation strategy.

Cricket lead on projects in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Lebanon, Jordan. In the UK, development of new coaching resources and coach education material to support in-country coaches with delivery of cricket and HIV/AIDS awareness and education. Duties:• Tutoring Ugandan school teachers and coaches in cricket delivery integrating health messages, including:o Ways to prevent transmission of HIV/AIDSo The importance of testingo Challenging stigma and discrimination• Planning coaching sessions and the cricket component of “testing days” in Uganda• Design of new coach education programme to support future tutors in delivering consistent coach education that reinforces health messages • Planning for future delivery in-country, researching effectiveness of different messages and incorporation of these into cricket delivery

National Coach Developer (ECB) - part of a team who develop new Coach Developers, who will go on to develop new coaches in their respective counties, to support the growth of cricket in England and WalesCoach Developer - work across Yorkshire and Lancashire to develop and assess coaches, with a particular focus on Foundation 1/Core Coach courses and the development of the female coaching workforce.

Developing new coaches and coach Tutors at ICC Level 1 and 2. Part of the ICC Europe team and working with member associations in Europe, Africa and Asia.

As a Research Assistant at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine I lead on, with support from senior academics within the Centre, a mixed-methods study investigating enablers and barriers to capacity strengthening in vector control laboratories towards laboratory certification in LMICs. This includes coordination with project partners to prepare protocol and ethics applications, plan site visits for data collection, implementing data collection, analysis and interpretation. I also strategize publication plans and produce relevant outputs, including presentations, posters and journal articles. Preliminary findings from this research has resulted in immediate uptake in recommendations by project partners in their approach to project planning and internal auditing.Since September 2018 I have also led on the monitoring, evaluation, research and learning for the Health Goals Malawi project, a collaborative multi-partner project mobilizing community sports coaches as health educations and football as a vehicle for dissemination of HIV self-testing.

Collaborate with podcast team to identify topics for discussion and potential interviewees, interview implementers and participants in sport for development and related fields, minor editing of audio content and production of promotional graphics.

Lead evaluator at capacity-building sport for development charity YES!Tanzania. Planning and implementation of monitoring and evaluation of the Community Sport for Sexual Health project (May-July 2017) in Arusha, Tanzania, as part of MSc Global Health and Public Policy (University of Edinburgh). Upon completion of evaluation, invited to return to implement findings (September 2017-present).Duties:- Coordinate and implement questionnaires, focus group discussions and interviews with participants- Analysis of findings using SPSS (quantitative data) and thematic analysis (qualitative data)- Production of in-depth report and executive summary- Use of findings to inform development of new, outcomes focused programme including training for partner organisationsAchievements:- Designed and undertook in-depth mixed-methods evaluation of Yes!Tanzania’s Community Sport for Sexual Health project, to produce a report described by Dissertation markers as “well-executed piece of work that highlights high-level conceptual understanding allied to excellent critical ability”.- Worked in Tanzania for an extended period, requiring flexibility and the ability to accept and adapt to different expectations of work practices.

Developing grassroots cricket in Middlesex (North and West London) with administration and development planning, as well as practical delivery and project management. Working across a range of projects including street cricket, women and girls cricket and workforce development.Key achievements:- Development and launch of first Middlesex-only Women’s Cricket League- Development of new grassroots format, B20- Secured £150,000 of new funding for StreetChance project, as manager of StreetCricket project, including a team of 5 street-cricket coaches

Developing grassroots cricket in Leicestershire with practical delivery of cricket coaching and teacher training as well as office-based administration and development planning.Key achievements:- Development and launch of Leicestershire Women’s Indoor Cricket League
