About Sara Herrera
I’m a bilingual Spaniard that’s been living in the UK for 12 years. Video games are my one true passion, and I *love* making them better and accessible to more people. I've been working as a professional game localizator for nearly two years (though I've got a lot more experience than that), and I am now looking to work full-time either as a localizator, community manager, graphic designer, or all of those! I believe my wide range of skills would suit perhaps a smaller company, where being multitalented is most useful. I could localize your game, create your branding, manage your community, create graphics, video or animations if needed, engage with both English *and* Spanish-speaking users, or even create some concept art!If you want to see some of the games I've been involved in and/or some of my art, feel free to visit my portfolio. If you want to know more, check out my CV or get in touch. I am willing to quit freelancing altogether if requested, and can start immediately!

Video Game Translator And Localization Qa/Tester
CurrentI'm a two-star seller on Fiverr as a Spanish/English video game localizator, where I have 100% 5-star reviews.I've participated in countless video game localization projects (both official and unofficial) since my teens, including some pretty large ones like Ragnarok Online (rAthena) or Shroud of the Avatar (Steam). I've also done game localization QA, free translations for music bands and book authors, anime subtitles, video transcripts and even some interpreting in the past.I'm familiar with game translating apps, language style guides and localization team sync tools. I've got an efficient workflow, and I can work well either by myself or as part of a team. I'm exceptionally good at spotting mistakes, and I've also been a hardcore gamer since the MS-DOS days, joining game communities, always signing up betas and reporting bugs, so video game QA is a very strong point of mine. I can actually test a game *and* its translation at the same time.
Freelance Graphic Artist/Illustrator
CurrentBecause I'm well-versed in traditional media (art school), I excel at mimicking traditional/mixed media art when doing digital illustrations. This also makes it easy for me to "figure out" other illustrators' styles, allowing me to complete jobs that were not finished by the original creator, or making new art that blends homogeneously with a pre-established style. This is particularly useful for teams whose artist is not available for work any more and need more graphic content that matches what they already have.
Sculptor
I set up this business separately to make very something very niche: wall-mounted dragon trophy heads. I used a very wide range of materials (I love mixed media!). I ran it for a few years shipped the dragons globally, but stopped when the pandemic hit. I used to have a website (https://www.thearcanedragonry.co.uk, now defunct) where I'd post the pieces for sale and also run a blog where I'd document how I made them.
Graphic Designer
I completed an internship that coincided with an employee's maternity leave. I did a very wide range of jobs aside from regular designing, like illustrations (both traditional and digital), a whole signage system, coming up with the idea for a short animated ad and creating its storyboard, re-designing/beautifying a shopfront, designing and 3D rendering a large space for an outdoor event, etc. The company was very happy with my versatility, and I was described as "efficient and responsible".
