I am a legal director who advises trustees, employers and insurers on all aspects of pensions law. I also play a leading role in Gowling WLG's industry-leading pensions risk transfer group. My commercial and practical advice helps pension scheme trustees and sponsors navigate and implement their end game solutions. I have experience leading on pensions risk transfer transactions for both trustee and insurer clients. I also work alongside other members of the pensions risk transfer team to successfully deliver some of the pension industry's largest and most complex residual risk transfer transactions. In addition to my risk transfer work, I have a wide general advisory practice ranging from providing trusted advice to clients who are operating as business as usual to expertly guiding clients through specific and often challenging projects. These include restructurings; scheme mergers (and de-mergers); funding negotiations; and benefit change and incentive exercises. I also have broad experience advising trustees and sponsors on complex corporate transactions. I am a full member of the Association of Pension Lawyers (APL) and am chair of the APL communications committee.
