I am a research facilitator with extensive experience and expertise with immunocytochemistry techniques, cell culture (including 3-dimensional cell culture on bioengineered substrates), microtomy, confocal microscopy, brightfield/widefield microscopy, live cell imaging, and live animal imaging using two-photon microscopy. Experience with transmission and scanning electron microscopy, sample preparation including ultramicrotomy and cryo-ultramicrotomy.

• Coordinated 20 research groups in a collaborative effort to obtain funds from the National Institutes of Health for the acquisition of super-resolution imaging capabilities for the OSU research community. 05/2017 submission• Awarded funds from the Comprehensive Cancer Center Intramural Research Program to develop a live animal imaging service for the CMIF using two-photon microscopy (2017)• Awarded funds from the Comprehensive Cancer Center Intramural Research Program to upgrade the confocal microscope imaging capabilities to include a 750nm laser at the CMIF (2016).• Taught immunocytochemistry techniques and the principles of light and electron microscopy to over 200 students in 6 different courses and a three-day workshop.• Prepared and updated facility business plan.• Established collaborations with several researchers resulting in published works.• Hired an Electron Microscopist and four Student Assistants. • Initiated a quarterly newsletter to effectively disseminate facility information to the university and beyond.
