Directed Corrymeela’s social innovation work relating to international education, leadership development and peace tourism. Curated study abroad experiences in Northern Ireland for international universities and organisations, including the coordination of teams of educators to share Corrymeela’s learning in regards to reconciliation practice. Taught on an international graduate programme focused on building sustainable peace in areas of global conflict. Carried out a peace tourism consultation for Belfast City Council, exploring the potential for using tourism for community regeneration in post-conflict environments.

Directed a department of 15 staff members within a large organisation that addressed the needs of a community heavily affected by the conflict in Northern Ireland. Conducted interface work, including cross-community dialogue and narrative processes, in Inner East Belfast. Designed the community engagement programmes associated with the £22.5 million Skainos urban regeneration project. Managed a range of community development activities including mental health, family support, youth and children’s work and community relations. Served on the Senior Management Team to provide leadership to a 96-person staff team.

Responsible for the overall operations of an organisation designed to address trauma caused by the conflict in Northern Ireland through dialogue and storytelling with diverse groups. Developed innovative trauma-based methodologies. Coordinated and facilitated the bringing together of people impacted by the conflict in and about Northern Ireland, including former Republican and Loyalist combatants, former members of the security forces and people injured or bereaved by the conflict.
