CUSTOMER SERVICE/ DATA ENTRY/ CLAIMS/ DATA ENTRY/ INBOUND-OUTBOUND CALLS/Manages returnable packaging shipments and returns in SAP by ensuring that each load is allocated to the correct O-I facility, and initiates a “Return Sales Order", “Return Delivery", and “Post Goods Receipt" for receipt into inventory.Analyzes monthly inventories of returnable packaging located at all customer locations and generates relevant reporting for cross functional visibility.Provides detailed reports to customers outlining their return obligations and then works with the commercial team to reconcile outstanding balances.Generates credit memos when applicable and works with Shared Services for distribution and account allocation.Resolves billing exceptions initiated between the customer and the shared service team and implements solutions to reconcile exceptions.Works with Materials Handling on unit load patterns, specifications, general guidelines, rules, specifications, sort and repair criteria, and unit load integrity of glass and pallets.Communicates to external customers and internal business partners regarding the material acceptance guidelines and specifications.Manages the process in any initiatives to convert a customer from one type of material to another (e.g. OI supplied material to customer supplied, wood pallets to plastic fence etc..).Identifies root cause for margin leakage pertaining to returnable packaging and implements corrective actions to improve profitability.Works closely with the Returnable Packaging Specialist, who manages the returnable packaging float from a supply chain perspective to support finished goods production.Participates in audits at 3rd party pallet service providers to ensure that customer returns of packaging meet set criteria for material condition.
