I have been working part-time in addition to being a student for almost three years. I have worked as a barista at Joe Beans Express Espresso for almost two and a half years, and worked at Wal-Mart as a Personal Online Shopper in the Online Grocery Pickup department for six months until going back to work at Joe Beans. I highly value my education, as I have received multiple honors from high school that have helped me develop skills in both my academic and career spheres, such as having effective time management, prioritizing, and bettering my communication skills with both leadership and coworkers, or teachers and peers if looking at it from an academic standpoint. I have additionally had the privilege of becoming a student at the University of Virginia from the work I put in through my jobs and schooling. I am planning to grow my skills in a healthcare lens throughout and after my time at the University of Virginia.
