I, along with my brother, run the Royal York & Faulkner Hotel. I look after the operations management whilst my brother handles the front of house. The hotel has been run by the Hook family since 1939, starting with my grandparents having just 8 bedrooms, expanded by my parents in 1970 to include 70 and continued by Paul and myself. It’s rather a way of life as we were both raised in the hotel.Aside from travelling and working abroad for a few years after school, I have worked and trained alongside my parents in the business for the past 25 years.I studied at The Maynard School in Exeter, traveled and then learnt the business from my now retired parents.Looking to get in touch?
