I love connecting people to their passion and interests. It brings me joy, helping someone fulfill their desire to support a cause that they care deeply about. My first real passion in life was theatre. After attaining a BA in Theatre, I was introduced to a job that combined my organizational skills with my love of the arts – thus my career in nonprofit administration began. Even though I wasn’t onstage or in a traditional “behind the scenes” role, I found fulfillment knowing that my work facilitated our artistic staff and brought the community closer to the arts.Soon I transitioned from nonprofit administration to fundraising. Now I was even more engaged with connecting people to a mission I loved. Through this work I learned that donors and volunteers were looking for ways to transform their community – and I could help them accomplish that. From theatre, my heart expanded and I've been honored to help create change through other mission-focused organizations in a variety of sectors over the years. I love my work. I love that the many relationships, conversations, and daily tasks I engage in result in a tangible impact on someone’s quality of life – whether it’s fulfilling a donor’s philanthropic desire, helping volunteers utilize their talents for a good cause, or enabling the work of a nonprofit so they can better serve their clients. We are all called to make our community a better place to live. And by working together, we can change the world – or at least our little corner of paradise.
