My name is Sara McClay and I am a newly Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant-- March, 2020--and a recent graduate of Herzing University with an Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant. I first heard about Occupational Therapy when in high school at a college fair. That began my interest in the field and I pursued different shadowing opportunities in a tensive care unit and a school setting. In order to expand my knowledge and experience in an entry-level position, I am willing to work in a range of populations.For the last nine years I have been working with the City of Shakopee as a lifeguard, head lifeguard, and aquatic assistant. This has given me experience in customer service, problem solving, and management positions. For two years I worked with a population with developmental disabilities, and have had the privilege of working with individuals to achieve goals and work on providing detailed documentation for each individual.
